RC Kasthamandap visited Pithouli, Nawalparasi for three days service project on 4th to 6th March 2023 for various service activities including Eye and Dental services at Pithouli Health post. Pithouli village at Nawalparasi is adopted village of RC Kasthamandap where such services are held annually since more than a decade. Due to Covid and other reasons these services were stopped for several years but this year we are fortunate to be able to come to the village to continue our services President Yadab Pradhan expressed to the gathering of nearly about 90 people besides patients who came to receive services. The program was attended by Assistant Governor Samjhana Pokharel, Ward chair, Hospital management staffs, teachers, students and about 19 Rotarians and Interacts.
Total 154 people received eye checkup and 85 people received glasses. 16 People needed cataract operation. Cost of cataract operation required Rs 7500 each. Bharatpur eye hospital supported Rs 6000 each and needed additional support Rs 1500 each which was supported by RCK members.
Total 71 people received dental checkup and care with the help from Dr. Bimala and team. Cost of medicine for dental checkup were supported by Dr. Bimala herself and PP Gyanendra Lal Pradhan.
The program was organized with the technical support of Bharatpur Eye hospital and Dr. Bimala Pradhan and dental team. President Yadab thanked the hospital, Dr Bimala and her team as well as all Rotarians and expressed great satisfaction for being part of the program which was successfully conducted.
