International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th every year in many countries around the world. It is a day to honor the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for gender equality and women’s rights.
On this occasion RC Kasthamandap felicitated four women of our society who have contributed a lot to the people and communities in Nepal. They were all introduced with brief biodata and given floor to share their heart touching life time experiences and hard work they had to go through to be successful to the audition during the weekly Friday meeting on 10th March, 2023 at Radisson Hotel. President Yadab Pradhan and past presidents welcomed all four women namely Rtn Dr. Priti Bhusal-Mt. Everest climber of RCK, Mrs. Gyanu Shova Tuladhar, Namuna College of fashion and design, Dr. Sajana Thapa – Animal Nepal, Sangita Panta, EPSA. President put khada with flower presentation and gave certificate of recognition to four women together with PE, IPP, CP and Past Presidents. President thanked Chair-PP Sushama Sharma and women’s day celebration team of RCK #breakthebias. CP Gajendra B Shrestha was requested to give vote of thanks. President concluded the program by saying “the day when we no longer need to celebrate women’s day is the day we achieve our goal”.
