DG Jitendra appreciated and applauded various projects of RC Kasthamandap which will be very beneficial to the community. President Yadab showed a multimedia presentation of all the completed activities in July-August 2022 by RC Kasthamandap.
DG visits are considered one of the most important events in Rotary. The District Governor visits every club mainly for a health checkup. In his own words, our club’s health is very good and does not require any medicines. Instead, he wants us to share our success stories in various areas. He was amazed to see our friendship and bonding as well as how we enjoyed our fellowship and meetings. We have been asked to share the reason for our very successful membership retention as well as our capability in doing so many service projects. He mentioned that he is very happy to see various service projects in all seven areas of focus of Rotary.
RCK having completed one of the most difficult TEACH projects in six schools of Suryabinayak has undertaken another GG for four schools for TEACH Project at Nagarjun, which is praiseworthy. Our members’ contribution in “Bucket of Hope Project” together with Rotaract’s activities was appreciated. DG applauded when he learned about the 2.6 million Rupees raised by club members during the Covid crisis within a week, most of which was in one virtual zoom meeting.
Our Dharan/Dhankuta Project continuation for 16 years was another example of service-above-self to serve disabled and blind children. DG also gave good remarks on our highest contribution for 150 wheelchairs in July 2022 which was handed over to President Yadab by RI IPP Shekhar Mehata.
During the club meeting, President Yadab also handed over cheques to DG for RI Annual Fund for 100% contributing club, PHS, MPHF and also PHF to maintain the status of 100% PHF club.
DG presented and shared his Rotary knowledge with valuable suggestions on how we can maintain our club’s vibrancy and areas of improvement to further grow.
Club President Rtn Yadab Pradhan said to DG, “Your inspiring words, appreciations, sharing Rotary knowledge, and all your valuable suggestions are highly appreciated by all of us. It will surely help us make RC Kasthamandap more vibrant. We have taken all your guidance positively as a mantra to move forward in the coming days. We are very impressed with your extensive knowledge of Rotary and dedication to helping disadvantaged people during your Rotary journey. With your simplicity and friendliness, you have won our hearts, and your encouragement has motivated us to take more challenges in serving society.”
The meeting concluded with a buffet breakfast and a special meeting with DG, AG, DS, President with Rotaract President and team.
