On 11th April, 2023 three clubs from RC Shimodate, RC Hitachi and RC Kasthamandap organized Rotary World Community Services (WCS) by visiting three different schools namely Shree Ganesh Primary School Namobuddha, Dapcha, Shree Janaudaya School Bhainsepati and Shramik School, Pulchowk. On the occasion, PDG Soichi Fujii, PDG Kazou Arai, Past president Tomohisa Ono RC Hitachi, and President elect Kenichi Miyata RC Shimodate all from RID 2820 Japan participated along with President Yadab Pradhan RC Kasthamandap, CP Gajendra B. Shrestha, IPP Nepal Bhusan Chand and other past presidents and members to distribute stationaries, school bags, sport materials and other school necessities. During the program they also handed over cheque of Rs. 60,000 to the president of Nepal Associations for Welfare of Blind (NAWB) to support the printing of brail calendar of BS 2080.
RC Kasthamandap has been supporting various schools in Nepal since last 20 years in collaborations with RC Shimodate. Later RC Hitachi also joined the collaborations since last 5 years. The total support amount for the program was more than six lakhs.
